The agreement
These Terms are an agreement between you and NomadFalcon, 2725-032 Lisboa, Portugal ("we", "us"), the provider of Tuck: Budget & Pantry ("Tuck"), including the iPhone and Android apps and tuckbudget.com. By creating an account or using Tuck you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Tuck.
Your account
- You must be at least 16 years old to use Tuck.
- Give us an accurate email address and keep your password private. You're responsible for what happens in your account.
- Tell us right away at hello@tuckbudget.com if you think someone else is using it.
Using Tuck
We give you a personal, non-transferable right to use Tuck for your own household. Please don't:
- break the law, or use Tuck to harm or defraud anyone;
- try to get into accounts or systems that aren't yours, or interfere with Tuck's security;
- copy, resell or reverse engineer the app, except where the law allows it;
- scrape Tuck or use bots to send large numbers of requests, including price checks;
- upload anything harmful, such as malware.
Not financial advice
Tuck is a budgeting and organizing tool. It isn't a bank, it doesn't hold or move your money, and nothing in Tuck is financial, tax, investment or legal advice. Budgets, estimates and suggestions are based on what you enter and may be incomplete. Decisions about your money are yours, so check anything important with a qualified professional.
Prices and stores
Smart purchase looks up prices, deals, delivery and pickup options on the websites of the stores you choose, with help from AI. Those results are estimates at the moment of the check. Prices, stock, fees and offers change, can differ by location, and can be wrong. The store's price at checkout is what counts. We aren't affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting for any store, and we aren't responsible for their products, prices or service.
Your content
What you put into Tuck, like budgets, transactions and pantry items, stays yours. You give us permission to store and process it only to run Tuck for you, as described in the Privacy Policy. You're responsible for having the right to enter it.
Our app and brand
Tuck, the Tuck turtle, our logos, artwork, animations and software belong to us or our licensors and are protected by law. These Terms don't give you any right to use them except to use the app. If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them freely.
Tuck Premium
Tuck is free. Tuck Premium adds smart purchase and, as they launch, bank linking and Insights. Every new account gets Premium features free for 7 days from sign-up, with no payment needed.
After that, Premium costs $2.99 a month or $24.99 a year, or the local price shown in the App Store or Google Play before you buy, including any taxes. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. You can cancel anytime in your App Store or Google Play account settings; cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid being charged for the next period. When you cancel, Premium stays on until the end of the period you paid for, and Tuck's free features keep working.
Payments, renewals and refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their terms. If we change the price, we'll tell you in advance and the new price applies from your next renewal, so you can cancel before then. If you're a consumer in the EU, you keep your statutory rights, including any right of withdrawal the law gives you.
Third-party services
Some features rely on other companies, such as push notifications from Apple and Google, AI price checks from Anthropic and, in future, bank connections through a provider like Plaid. Their services have their own terms. We may change or stop a third-party integration if needed.
Ending your account
You can stop using Tuck and delete your account at any time in the app's settings. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these Terms or puts other people or Tuck at risk, and we'll tell you why unless the law or safety prevents it. We may also change or stop parts of Tuck; if we shut Tuck down, we'll give you reasonable notice and a way to get a copy of your data.
Our responsibility
We work hard to keep Tuck accurate and available, but we can't promise it will always be error-free or uninterrupted, and we aren't responsible for decisions you make based on budgets, estimates or prices shown in Tuck.
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost profits, savings or data, and our total liability for any claim about Tuck is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or €50. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or wilful misconduct, or any other liability, or any consumer right, that can't be limited or excluded under applicable law.
Complaints and disputes
If something goes wrong, please contact us first at hello@tuckbudget.com and we'll try to sort it out.
These Terms are governed by Portuguese law. The courts of Lisbon, Portugal have jurisdiction, but if you're a consumer you can also bring proceedings in the courts where you live, and you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of your country.
Consumers in Portugal can also file a complaint in the electronic complaints book, the Livro de Reclamações, and can turn to an alternative dispute resolution body listed on the Portuguese Consumer Portal (consumidor.gov.pt).
App stores
If you got Tuck from Apple's App Store, these Terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple isn't responsible for the app or its support, has no warranty obligation beyond any refund it offers, isn't responsible for claims about the app, and is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms with the right to enforce them. You confirm you're not in a country under a US embargo and not on a US list of prohibited parties. If you got Tuck from Google Play, Google's terms for Google Play also apply.
Changes
We may update these Terms as Tuck grows. We'll change the date at the top, and for significant changes we'll tell you in the app or by email at least 30 days before they take effect. If you don't agree, you can delete your account before then.
